By contrast a trip to Orange Walk district in the north of Belize takes all Indiana Jones fans to the incredibly preserved Mayan pyramids of Caracol and Xunatunich. A scenic boatride up the Belize New River is a great adventure into the Mesoamerican jungle shrouded ruins of Lamanai, famous for its incredible architecture and stunning location on the edge of the New River Lagoon. Distances across the country are short and it’s easy to experience all the contrasts and adventures Belize offers on a two-week vacation.
